①翻译一定不要放在最后做

翻译的分值较高，千万不要留到最后才动笔。选词填空全对也只有35.5分，即使最后没有时间，随便填完也不影响大局；

但翻译的分数一旦丢掉，过级基本无望。推荐的做题顺序为：长篇阅读→仔细阅读→翻译→选词填空。

②考前先浏览一遍翻译题目

翻译中肯定有不太会写的词汇，或者知道意思但一时想不起怎么拼写。提前看一眼题目，大脑会留下印象，在做阅读时可以格外留意相关的表达，有时甚至能为翻译提供灵感。

核心方法：先抓主谓宾，再进行修饰。拿到原文后不要急着动笔，先勾画出每句话的主干（主语+谓语+宾语），然后把修饰主干的成分一点一点翻译填入句子中，让句子完整通顺。

四级真题例句（2021.12）

原文：长久以来，大运河对中国的经济发展发挥了重要作用，有利促进了南北地区之间的人员往来和文化交流。

①句子分析：（长久以来，）大运河（对中国的经济发展）发挥了（重要）作用，（有利）促进了（南北地区之间的）人员往来和文化交流。

②翻译主干：The Grand Canal has played a role in development and enhanced the exchanges and communication.

③ 补充内容（逐个添加修饰成分）：

修饰1（长久以来）：For a long time/Through the ages

修饰2（对中国的经济发展有重要作用）：重要 → important/significant/vital/essential/prominent；对中国经济发展 → in promoting the economic development of China（作伴随状语）

修饰3（南北之间的）：between the northern and southern regions

修饰4（人员往来和文化交流）：personnel exchanges and cultural interaction（communication 换成 interaction 更准确）

最后整合：Through the ages, it has played a prominent role in promoting the economic development of China, greatly enhancing the personnel exchanges and cultural interaction between the northern and southern regions.

这是一个典型的长难句，但句子的主干部分并不难。基础较弱的考生只要找准主干，也能翻译出来。翻译完主干之后，就找准了整个句子的主体，插入其他修饰成分就简单多了。插入修饰成分时，注意斟酌用词、固定搭配，选用更准确的表达。对于和主干并列的成分，也可以利用从句或非谓语来合并。
